Outgoing Pakistan High Commission’s Defence Adviser Pays Courtesies

The outgoing Defence Adviser at the High Commission of Pakistan in Sri Lanka Colonel Muhammad Safdar Khan on Wednesday (5 July) extended his courtesies to the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu at the Army Headquarters before his return to Pakistan after completion of his tenure in Sri Lanka (2020 - 2023).

During the brief meeting, both of them exchanged views on matters of general interest in the region and ever-growing bilateral relations between both military organizations.

Colonel Muhammad Safdar Khan also expressed his gratitude to the Sri Lanka Army for all the support he received during his tenure and wished the Sri Lanka Army all the best in its future endeavours.

Towards the end of the interactions, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage, Commander of the Army, appreciative of his relations and goodwill during his tenure, presented a memento to Pakistan’s Defence Advisor, Colonel Muhammad Safdar Khan as a token of appreciation. The gesture was reciprocated.
