Captain Gaku Fakaura, Defence Attaché (DA) at the Embassy of Japan in Sri Lanka paid a courtesy call on General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff, Commander of the Army and Head of the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) on Wednesday (10) at the Commander’s office at the Army Headquarters.

During this discussion, both of them shared bilateral concerns as regards the arrest of COVID-19 transmission, commitment of troops and health workers, preventive mechanisms in the country, etc.

Towards the culmination of the discussion, General Shavendra Silva and Captain Gaku Fakaura exchanged mementos of goodwill and memory. |
