    SFHQ-W Unveils 125 kW Solar Power Plant for National Grid Contribution

    In line with the vision of the President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to use renewable energy as a solution to the energy crisis in the country, Major General W.P.A.D.W Nanayakkara RSP VSV USP ndu, Commander, Security Forces-Wanni (SFHQ-W), inaugurated a new 125 kW solar power plant at the camp premises on 03 December. The plant will generate 15,000 kWh monthly for the national grid while concurrently contributing to the well-being of soldiers through the proceeds allocated to their welfare.

    SLLI Continues Housing Project for Deserving Soldiers

    The continuation of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment's (SLLI) housing project for Army personnel and their families resulted in the construction of one more house for a deserving SLLI soldier. The project, a conceptual notion was proposed by the former Colonel of the Regiment.
