Army Troops Conduct School Items Donation Programme

The troops of 54 Infantry Division conducted a school items donation programme at the Lay Apostolate Hall in Mannar on 04 June 2026, under the guidance of Major General G.S.K. Perera RSP ndc, General Officer Commanding of 54 Infantry Division.

During the programme, school bags and books were donated to 310 students from economically disadvantaged families, including pupils of St. Xavier’s Girls’ College, St. Mother Theresa Roman Catholic Tamil Mixed School, Santhipuram Government Tamil Mixed School, and Madhu Sinhala Maha Vidyalaya.

Major General K.M.P.S.B. Kulatunga RSP ndc psc, Commander, Security Forces (Wanni), attended the event as the Chief Guest.

The financial contribution for the programme was provided by Mr. M.R.S. Amani.

Senior Officers, Officers, government officials, police officers, Other Ranks, principals, teachers, students and parents participated in the event.
