Lieutenant Colonel Frank Wirths along with Captain Nils Norwig of the German Air Force paid a courtesy call on Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army, at the Army Headquarters on 16 April 2026.
The delegation from the German Air Force, comprising 13 members, is scheduled to conduct the United Nations Mission Orientation Course on Patrols/Convoy in a Hostile Environment, with a focus on IED awareness for tri-service personnel from 20 April 2026 to 14 May 2026 at the Institute of Peace Support Operations Training, Sri Lanka, Kukuleganga and the Army Training School, Maduru Oya.
