DCOS Visits Field Engineer Brigade and 8 Field Engineer Regiment

Major General A.H.L.G Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, Deputy Chief of Staff (DCOS) made an official visit to the Field Engineer Brigade and 8 Field Engineer Regiment on 11 March 2025, as part of an initiative to ensure the Army's operational and administrative readiness on the ground.

Upon arrival, the visiting Senior Officer was accorded a ceremonial drive pass before addressing the troops. In his address, he emphasized the importance of discipline and the Army's commitment to national initiatives such as the "Clean Sri Lanka" program. He also stressed the importance of environmental conservation, national security, and the wellbeing of soldiers.

He also addressed the officers, encouraging them to adapt to societal changes while staying focused on their duties. He reiterated the Army’s significant role in national development and the “Clean Sri Lanka” initiative. At the conclusion of the visit, he penned down remarks in the visitors’ book.
