Lieutenant Colonel Y.S.H.N.P Silva USP psc GR, the newly appointed Contingent Commander of the 16th Sri Lanka Force Protection Company in Naqoura, paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Mr. Kapila Jayaweera, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Lebanon, on 29 August 2025 at the Embassy Office in Beirut.
The Ambassador warmly received the Contingent Commander and his team. Discussions centred on Sri Lanka’s peacekeeping contributions to UNIFIL and the positive reputation earned by Sri Lankan troops in Lebanon.
The visit concluded with the presentation of a memento to the Ambassador on behalf of the Officers and Other Ranks of the Contingent, along with best wishes for continued cooperation.
