Troops of the Sri Lanka Army distributed school supplies to eighty children from needy families at the Karugampanai Community Centre on 27 September 2025.
The initiative was financially sponsored by Venerable Opanayaka Susima Thero, Deputy Parivenadhipathi of Siridewananda Piriwena, Rathnapura. Major General M.P.N.A. Muthumala USP psc, General Officer Commanding, 51 Infantry Division, Mr. Norbert Udayakumar, Zonal Educational Director of Jaffna and school principals participated in the event.
