The Defence Service Cricket Tournament 2024/2025, conducted by the Defence Services Sports Board, took place from 02 to 29 July 2025 at the cricket grounds in Panagoda, Welisara, and Katunayake.

The 16th Contingent of the Sri Lanka Force Protection Company (SLFPC), after officially assuming peacekeeping duties under the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), participated as role players in Patrolling, CASEVAC, and Denial of Freedom of Movement activities on 16 and 17 July 2025. These were conducted in collaboration with the Indonesian Force Protection Unit and the Malaysian Battalion in a series of scenarios involving an IED explosion followed by an ambush and the escorting of a CASEVAC.

Sri Lankan Army Athletes proudly secured 09 Bronze medals at the 1 st CISM Military Muaythai Challenge, marking a remarkable achievement on the international stage. Competing against elite military fighters from around the world the team showcased exceptional skill, discipline and resilience throughout the tournament.
