SLAVF Conducts a Classical Music Therapy Session

Under the guidance of Commander of the Army and supervision of Major General A.H.L.G Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, the Commandant (Overlooking) of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF), a classical music therapy session was conducted on 21st January 2025 at the Rendezvous Ground pavilion as part of the “Clean Sri Lanka” campaign.

The session was conducted by Dr. Wasantha Priyadarshana, an expert in Buddhist Psychotherapy and a lecturer at the Postgraduate Institute of Pali and Buddhist Studies, University of Kelaniya.

This special programme was organised for all Ranks of the SLAVF. The activities were thoughtfully designed to help them cope with personal and collective losses, while also providing an opportunity for reflection and renewal.

Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks took part in the event.
