Newly Constructed House Vested in Needy Family in Point Pedro

A new house was constructed by the troops of the 4th Battalion Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (4 SLSR) for a needy family in Pawatkarei, Point Pedro. Major General Y.A.B.M Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, Commander, Security Forces (Jaffna), graced the housewarming ceremony as the Chief Guest and handed over the keys of the newly constructed house to the beneficiary on 06th January 2025.

The project was sponsored by Mr. Junesh and Sami Cinnaiya from the USA through the “Wanni Aid Canada” organisation, with coordination by Major General (Retired) Ravi Rathnasingham.

Following this, the Commander visited the 52 Infantry Division. During the visit, the Commander was briefed on the Division's roles and tasks. Afterwards, the Commander posed for a group photograph and addressed the troops. Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks participated in these events.
