Brigadier Y.M.S.C.B Jayathilake RSP USP assumed duties as the Commandant of Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL) during a brief ceremony held at the IPSOTSL on Thursday 15th May 2025.
On arrival, the Commandant was welcomed by the Chief Instructor IPSOTSL and accorded a Guard Turnout at the camp entrance. Afterwards, the Senior Officer placed his signature in an official document signifying the taking over of his duties at his office amidst religious observances.
Subsequently, a sapling was planted in the compound to mark the assumption of duties. Finally, the Officers and Other Ranks of the IPSOTSL were addressed by the new Commandant.
