New Colonel of the Regiment of GW Assumes Duties

Major General K.M.V. Kodituwakku assumed duties as the 27th Colonel of the Regiment of the Gemunu Watch (GW) on 24 May 2026 at the GW Regimental Centre in Kuruwita.

Upon his arrival, he was accorded a Guard Turnout followed by a Guard of Honour. Thereafter, he paid tribute at the Monument of Fallen Heroes.

Later, he attended an All-Ranks tea, addressed the troops of GW, and participated in an All-Ranks lunch. He also attended a Staff Officers’ briefing held at the conference hall of the Regimental Centre.

Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the event.
