Major General A.H.L.G Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, Commander, Security Forces (West), and Overlooking Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF), made his inaugural visit to the Volunteer Force Headquarters on 5th January 2025.
He was warmly welcomed by Senior Officers of SLAVF.
During his visit, the Senior Officer laid a wreath at the memorial of Captain Saliya Aladeniya, PWV, honouring fallen war heroes. He also addressed administrative matters in his role as the Overlooking Commandant.
In his address to the troops, he highlighted the importance of supporting the 'Clean Sri Lanka' initiative, as declared by the President, and shared his vision for a future-ready Volunteer Force.
The visit concluded with a discussion with officers, where he provided valuable guidance and perspectives for the Volunteer Force's progress.
