Major General Y.A.B.M Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, Commander, Security Forces (Jaffna), visited 51 Infantry Division on 05 January 2025.
Upon arrival, he was welcomed by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Division, and received a comprehensive briefing on the Division's Roles and Tasks. Afterwards, he posed for a group photograph and then addressed the troops.
During the visit, the Senior Officer inaugurated a new computer lab at the CIMIC Park premises and marked the commencement of its first computer course. He also attended to watch a football match for under-15 boys, organised to promote sports among youth in nearby villages under the guidance of the GOC.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the visit.
