Commander of the Army Visits SFHQ-Central

Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army, visited the Security Force Headquarters (SFHQ-Cen) on 16th and 17th March 2025. The visit provided an opportunity for the Commander of the Army to receive an in-depth update on the role and operational tasks of the (SFHQ-Cen) Headquarters.

Upon arrival, the Commander of the Army was warmly welcomed after according a drive pass at the main entrance of the SFHQ-Cen by Major General K.A.W.N.H. Bandaranayake USP, Commander of the Security Forces (Central), along with several Senior Officers of the Headquarters.

Further, the Commander of the Army planted a sapling in front of the SFHQ-Cen premises leaving a lasting memory marking his visit to the SFHQ-Cen. This was followed by a comprehensive briefing held in the conference hall, where he was updated on the current tasks and operational role of the SFHQ-Cen in the region.

During the visit Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army, also delivered an inspiring address to the Officers and Other Ranks serving under Security Forces (Central) on 15th March 2025 at the Sino-Lanka Friendship Auditorium of the Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA). Afterward, event marked with a symbolic exchange of mementos.

Before concluding his visit, the Army Chief signed the Visitors' Book, marking the occasion in the official records. The visit was made even more memorable with an invitation to the Commander of the Army to join a group photograph with the Officers and Other Ranks present at the Headquarters.
