Commander of the Army Visits the Abhimansala-1, Anuradhapura

Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army, paid a visit to Abhimansala-1, the wellness resort for differently-abled War Heroes in Anuradhapura, on 11 March 2025.

Upon his arrival, the Army Chief was accorded a Drive Pass at the entrance. Afterwards, the Commander along with Mrs. Swendrini Rodrigo, President of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit, was warmly welcomed by a resident war hero.

During his visit, the Commander of the Army toured the facility, personally engaging with the inmates to inquire about their well-being. He then distributed gift parcels containing essential items to each of the differently-abled war heroes. Following this, an inmate presented handmade souvenirs to the Army Chief and his spouse, Mrs. Swendrini Rodrigo.

The Commander - Security Forces (W), the Adjutant General, Director of Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation, General Officer Commanding 21 Division, Senior Officers and Officers participated in the event.
