Commander of the Army Congratulates Newly Promoted Major Generals

Recently promoted Major Generals of the Sri Lanka Army paid a courtesy visit to the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu on 16 July 2024.

The list of newly promoted Senior Officers included Major General W.S.N. Hemarathna RWP RSP psc, Major General J.K.R. Jayakody RWP USP, Major General E.M.G.A. Ambanpola and Major General B.G.S. Fernando USP Hdmc psc.

During the interactions, the Commander of the Army presented each Senior Officer with a General's sword, symbolizing their new authority and congratulated them on their career achievements. The event concluded with the Senior Officers expressing their gratitude to the Commander and posing for several photos to mark the occasion.
