Major General A.H.L.G Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, the Commandant (Overlooking) of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF), conducted an official visit to the Regimental Centre Sri Lanka National Guard on 05th February 2025.
Upon his arrival at the Regimental Centre, he placed a floral wreath at the war heroes’ monument as a tribute to fallen heroes. Afterwards, he ws accorded a Guard Turnout and then warmly welcomed by the Centre Commandant, Brigadier N.H.J Mangala. Subsequently, a ceremonial parade was held in his honour, followed by the planting of a tree sapling at the same venue.
Addressing the troops, he shared his thoughts and interacted with all ranks. The formalities concluded with a tea gathering, providing an opportunity for cordial discussions.
Regimental Council Members, Senior Officers, and Officers of the Sri Lanka National Guard were also present at the occasion.
