Major General A.H.L.G Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, the Commandant (Overlooking) of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF), visited the 3rd (Volunteer) Battalion of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (3 (V) SLSR) on 14th January 2025.
Upon arrival, he was greeted in a drive pass by the SLSR troops and warmly welcomed by Major F.J Samaranayake RSP, the Commanding Officer of the 3 (V) SLSR. Following the formalities, the Commanding Officer briefed the Senior Officer on the battalion’s activities and operational undertakings. The visiting Senior Officer also toured the camp and addressed key concerns.
During an interactive session with the troops, the Senior Officer emphasised the importance of aligning with the Commander of the Army's vision to support the "Clean Sri Lanka" initiative. He stressed the need for soldiers to be physically and emotionally resilient in order to meet the establishment’s goals.
To mark the visit, he signed the visitors' book. Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, and civilians participated in the event.
