Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, the Commander of the Sri Lanka Army, made a visit to the Army Base Hospital in Diyatalawa on 15th March 2025.
This visit was aimed at assessing the hospital’s operations while ensuring its smooth function to provide high-quality medical care to both military personnel and their families.
During his visit, Commander of the Army received a comprehensive update on the hospital's current functioning, including its medical services, infrastructure, and overall performance. The hospital staff briefed the Army Chief on the ongoing improvements and challenges they face in their mission to deliver timely and effective healthcare.
The Army Chief took time to interact with the medical professionals and support staff, acknowledging their dedication and hard work. Further, he also expressed his commitment to further strengthen the medical facilities for the wellbeing of the armed forces and their families, ensuring the convenient access to good healthcare services.
