As part of the ‘Clean Sri Lanka Programme’, the Security Forces (Jaffna) conducted a cleaning initiative on 30th January 2025. The programme was conducted under the guidance of the Commander, Security Forces (Jaffna), and the General Officer Commanding of the 52 Infantry Division.
Troops of the 521, 522, and 523 Infantry Brigades, in collaboration with government officials and the civilian community, cleaned the Chavakachcheri Urban Council area, focusing on garbage removal and roadside cleaning. The initiative was carried out with the participation of 250 military personnel and 300 civilians.
Clergy, Government Officials, Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, and Members of the local community took part in the event.
