Under the direction of the Commander of the Army, the 12 Infantry Division conducted a beach cleaning programme on 09th February 2025 as part of the “Clean Sri Lanka Programme.” The initiative was carried out in close coordination with government officials of Hambantota, covering the coastal stretch from Hambantota to Tangalle.
The General Officer Commanding of the 12 Infantry Division provided guidance for the programme, which primarily focused on garbage removal and beach cleaning. A total of 181 military personnel, including Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks, over 300 civilians participated in the programme.
