Under the guidance of Major S.A.K Gunarathna USP psc, Commanding Officer of the 12th Battalion of the Gajaba Regiment (12 GR), a school equipment donation programme was held on 4th January 2025 at Hambantota Kirindagama Primary School.
The initiative benefited 50 students, providing them with essential school supplies. The donation was made possible through financial contributions from Professor. Nimal Rajapaksha, Senior Deputy Vice Chancellor of SLIIT, Mr. Niraj Muthukuda, Chief Financial Officer of SLIIT, Major General A.L.D.N Gunasekara (Retired), Director of Infrastructure Development Projects at SLIIT, and Dr. Danushi Gunasekara, Senior Lecturer at Kotelawala Defence University.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the event.
