A United Nations Mobile Training Team from the German Federal Armed Forces visited the Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL) on 01 December 2025, to assess the feasibility of conducting a United Nations Peacekeeping Training programme.
The meeting was chaired by the Commandant of IPSOTSL. An initial presentation was delivered by the Chief Instructor, highlighting the institute’s role and Sri Lanka’s contribution to United Nations peacekeeping operations as a troop contributing country. This was followed by a productive discussion with the United Nations Mobile Training Team on the progress and review of ongoing peacekeeping training.
The Mobile Training Team also observed a combat convoy demonstration, visited the institute’s existing training facilities and lane training area and engaged in detailed discussions on the procedures and structure.
