The Board of Management (BOM) meeting of Ranaviru Apparel (RVAPL), Yakkala, was held on 26 August 2025, presided by Major General Y.A.B.M Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, Deputy Chief of Staff (DCOS) of the Army.
The Commandant of RVAPL, Brigadier M.A.D.J.D Gunathilaka RSP USP, warmly welcomed the Chairman and members of the BOM.
During the session, the Commandant delivered a comprehensive briefing on the organisation, while BOM members, including senior Army officers, engaged in discussions on future development. Afterwards, the DCOS and BOM members inspected the production areas and provided guidance to enhance productivity and efficiency.
In parallel, a medical campaign was conducted at RVAPL in collaboration with Army Hospital Colombo, offering services through OPD, Dental, Eye, Dermatology, Orthopaedic, and other specialised clinics for soldiers and their family members. In addition, the DCOS laid the cornerstone for the new Other Ranks’ accommodation building amidst the blessings of pirith chanting.
