Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army, made an official visit to the School of Artillery on 20 February 2026.
Upon arrival, he was warmly received by Major General K.V.N.P. Premaratne RSP USP nps psc, Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Artillery, along with Senior Officers. In accordance with military traditions, the Commander of the Army was accorded a drive pass at the main entrance.
During the visit, the Commander ceremonially declared open the renovated Gun House and the Warrant Officers’ and Sergeants’ Mess. Subsequently, he inagurated the newly established Reverse Osmosis (RO) Plant at the School of Artillery, further enhancing essential facilities for the troops.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks were present on the occasion.
