Commander of the Army Receives Maiden Copy of Army Logistic Core Values Publication

Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, Commander of the Army, received the first copy of the newly compiled Army Logistic Core Values Publication during a brief ceremony at his office on Monday (25). The publication, prepared by the Army Logistics Command, is designed to strengthen and standardize the core values that guide logistics operations in the Army. The logistic core values publication bearing the Army Code No: 0409A1 and published under the authority of the Directorate of Research Concept and Doctrine at the Army Headquarters.

The ceremony was attended by Major General S.P.A.I.M.B. Samarakoon Hdmc Lsc, Deputy Chief of Staff and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, along with Major General E.M.M Fernando Hdmc Lsc AATO, Commander, Logistics Command and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps. During the event, the Deputy Chief of Staff and other senior officials formally handed over the maiden copy of the publication to the Army Chief.

The Army Logistic Core Values Publication serves as an essential resource for the Sri Lanka Army’s logistics personnel. It distinctively outlines the fundamental principles and values that guide the Army’s logistics operations, ensuring efficiency, accountability, and professionalism in supporting the Army's mission.

Following the presentation of the first copy, the Army Chief expressed his appreciation for the initiative and emphasised the importance of adhering to these core values in the logistics field. The publication will now be disseminated across various branches and institutions of the Sri Lanka Army to benefit a wide range of users, including logistics officers, staff, and other relevant personnel.
