The 56 Infantry Division organized the ‘Wanni Christmas Carols 2023’ on 28 December 2023 at the Cultural Hall in Vavuniya. The event was graced by the presence of the Commander, Security Forces - Wanni, Major General W.P.A.D.W Nanayakkara RSP VSV USP ndu, who attended as the Chief Guest.

The festive atmosphere of the occasion was created by the choirs of Our Lady of Madhu Church in Rambaikkulam, Vavuniya, St Anthony's Church in Maharambaikulam, Vavuniya, Christ the King Church in Rambaikulam, Vavuniya, and Our Lady of Assumption Church in Komarasankulam, Vavuniya.

The customary proceedings of the day's event commenced with the opening prayer delivered by Rev. Fr. Anthonithas Dalima. Clergy, the General Officer Commanding of the 54 Infantry Division, along with Senior Officers, Other Ranks, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Vavuniya, government officials, and members of the civil community, were present to witness the Christmas Carols.
