Under the initiative of Major General S. Kasthurimudali RSP ndc psc from the 68 Infantry Division and the guidance of Brigadier H.V.A Somaweera RWP RSP USP, Thevipuram Tamil Mixed School embarked on a significant endeavor, hosting the 'Sinhala Language Teaching Programme' in response to the requests of the Principal and teachers.

The programme, conducted on Thursday (02 November 2023), marks the initiation of a regular schedule, taking place every Tuesday and Thursday. This educational effort is led by dedicated Officers and Other Ranks possessing proficiency in Tamil language.

Mr K. Ragu Udayakumar, an Instructor at the Zonal Educational Office in Mullaitivu, and P. Madasami, a proficient Sinhala Teacher attended the inaugural meeting.
