The Commanding Officer of 12 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG), Major B.M.C Wanninayake laid the foundation stone for construction of a new house for an underprivileged family residing at Iralakkulam, Thoppigala during a brief ceremony held on 26 January 2024.

Under the directions of Commander, Security Force - East and General Officer Commanding of 23 Infantry Division the troops of 12 SLNG provide much-needed manpower and technical assistance for the construction. Generous philanthropists of the island wide provided the financial contribution for this charity work.
