11 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (11 VIR) celebrated its 17th anniversary on Sunday (07 Jan) amidst a series of religious observances and military formalities under the guidance of the Commanding Officer of 11 VIR.

Religious observances included a bodhi pooja and almsgiving ceremony and pooja at Selvasandi Kovil premises. Moreover, a volleyball tournament was also arranged in the unit. On the anniversary day, the Commanding Officer was honoured in a Guard Turnout. Subsequently, a Battalion Parade was conducted.

Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of 11 VIR participated in the series of events.
