The Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF), Major General M.K Jayawardane RSP VSV USP ndu addressed the Senior Officers of relevant military establishments under the command of SLAVF on 8 January 2024 in a virtual platform using Zoom technology.

During the formal discussion, the Commandant SLAVF explained the importance of officers and other ranks' training and instructed senior officers to improve the training of troops under their command. Furthermore, he highlighted the discipline and welfare of the soldiers. Moreover, the Commandant of SLAVF provided necessary direction to relevant officers to rectify their present issues, which were discussed during the session.

Senior officers, including the Deputy Commandant of SLAVF, and other officers took part in the discussion.
