Major General S.R.B Aluwihare RWP RSP ndu psc of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment assumed office as the new Commander, Security Forces - Central (SF - C) on 10 January amidst religious blessings and military formalities at the Security Force Headquarters - Central in Diyathalawa.

The day’s proceedings commenced with a Guard Turnout, presented to the new Commander, SF - C at the main entrance on his arrival. Subsequently, he was invited to review the Guard of Honour presented by 7 Sri Lanka Signal Corps.

Afterwards, the newly-appointed Commander, SF - C left his signature in an official document, signifying the acceptance of his new office amidst chanting of ‘Seth Pirith’ by members of the Maha Sangha.

Thereafter, newly appointed Commander, SF - C addressed the troops before he attended a formal All Rank Tea.

Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks took part in the events.
