The 55 Infantry Division proudly celebrated its 27th Anniversary at the Division Headquarters in Kilinochchi on Wednesday (20 Dec), marking a significant milestone in its illustrious history.

The anniversary celebrations commenced with a special 'Ashirvada Pooja' at the sacred Jaya Sri Maha Bodhiya premises on Friday (15 Dec). Subsequently, on Wednesday (20 Dec), a series of events took place within the Divisional Headquarters.

These included a troop address, an All-Rank tea and multi-religious observances. All Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers, Staff Officers, and Other Ranks were present during the anniversary arrangements.
