61 Division Headquarters with the support of Habarana Cinnamon Lodge Hotel on Monday (1) marked the International Children’s Day by donating school accessories, sweets, sports items, etc to students at Navvi Srivani Government Tamil Mixed School in Madu area.
Staff members, led by Mr Ghazzali Mohideen, General Manager who organized the donation, worth about Rs 1 lakh, attended the ceremony at the school premises on Monday (1). On the same occasion, a wheelchair was also presented to a disable student, along with gifts that coincided with the special day.
Together with representatives of the Habarana Cinnamon Lodge, Messrs Ivan and Hilray, Brigadier A. Kariyakarawana, General Officer Commanding, 61 Division and several senior officers, parents of beneficiaries, Principal and Teachers witnessed the event.
