Sri Lanka’s High Commissioner for Australia Ms Robyn Mudie during a visit to the Jaffna peninsula, together with two of her officials met Major General Mahinda Hathurusinghe, Commander, Security Forces Headquarters- Jaffna (SFHQ-J) on Monday (28).
Major General Hathurusinghe explained the diplomat the measures that have been adopted by the Security Forces towards the uplift of living standards of Jaffna people and the security being maintained for the sake of peace in the peninsula.
The visiting diplomat before her exit from the SFHQ-J premises thanked the Army for its humanitarian roles and appreciated various programmes being launched to promote reconciliatory moves.
