Major General Kalpa Sanjeewa, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 11 Infantry Division of the Security Force HQ-Central made a field visit to the recently re-established 4 Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) Regiment camp at Dambulla in Keeragolla area on 11 November, together with several staff officers of the 11 Infantry Division and 111 Infantry Brigade with the aim of receiving an update on its administrative matters.
At first, the GOC visited 4 SLLI detachments at Bowathenna and Moragahakanda and met troops. Afterwards the GOC as planned called at the 4 SLLI Headquarters in Keeragollla where a Guard Turnout saluted the Senior Officer on arrival at the premises.
A subsequent discussion that ensued afterwards with the 4 SLLI Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel W.V.B.B.R Weerapura touched on different administrative and logistic needs of the camp and its troops. He also had a close look at the camp compound before he was invited to leave memories of his visit by planting a sapling inside the camp.
Before the GOC's departure from the camp site, he sat with all Offices and Other Ranks for a group photograph.
