23 Division's Inter Battalion Basketball Tournament Held in Kallady

The Inter Battalion Basketball tournament- 2022 of the 23 Division was held during 29 -30 October in the Sivananda Collage Basketball Court at Kallady on the guidelines given by the Commander, Security Forces - East, Major General Priyantha Jayawardena.

Basketballers in 4 Gemunu Watch, 12 Gemunu Watch, 11 (Volunteer) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and 12 Sri Lanka National Guard under command to the 23 Division vied in the tournament. The 11 (Volunteer) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment players won the Championship by defeating the players in the 12 Sri Lanka National Guard.

The General Officer Commanding 23 Division, Major General Shewanth Kulathunge, with the support of the Commander, 231 Brigade, Brigadier Dilupa Bandara, organized the tournament.

Major General Shewanth Kulathunga, General Officer Commanding, 23 Division attended the awarding ceremony as the Chief Guest, together with the Commander, 231 Brigade Brigadier Dilupa Bandara.

Commanding Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of under command Battalions witnessed the finals and the awarding ceremony.
