9 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) troops of the 681 Brigade of the 68 Division under command to the Security Force Headquarters-Mullaittivu formally left the Army- constructed main entrance gate and side wall of the Sugandhipuram Sri Ramar Hindu Kovil at Puthukudiiruppu to the management newly on 19 0ctober during a formal arrangement.
At the request of the chief priest (Kurukkal), the construction work was carried out by 9 SLNG troops under the supervision of the Commanding Officer of the 9 SLNG. Major General Rohan Ponnamperuma, General Officer Commanding of the 68 Division attended the formal occasion as the Chief Guest, together with several Officers.
Sugandhipuram villagers, Kovil devotees and troops participated in the event.
