Newly-promoted Senior Officer Felicitated after Promotion

Troops of the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (SLEME) HQ at Colombo presented honours and greeted the newly-promoted Major General Ranjan Jayasekara, Director General Electrical & Mechanical Engineers upon his arrival after receipt of new insignia from the Army Chief at the SLEME HQ premises in accordance with military traditions on 13 October 2022.

Troops presented a Guard Turnout salute at the entrance and a subsequent Guard of Honour where SLEME troops presented arms and honoured him.

Major General Ranjan Jayasekera later on addressed the troops before he joined an all-rank tea towards the end of the day’s proceedings.

Centre Commandant, Senior Officers, Commanding Officers, Officers and Other Ranks attended the felicitation ceremony.
