The Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force HQ (SLAVF) at Kosgama, appreciative of the service roles of civil staffers in the SLAVF awarded appreciative gifts and certificates to them during a simple felicitation ceremony on Friday (23) following a conceptual notion suggested by Major General Sujeewa Senarath Yapa, Commandant SLAVF.
Major General Thusitha Silva, Deputy Commandant, SLAVF on behalf of the SLAVF graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and commended the dedicated service of civil staffers who work inside the SLAVF Headquarters during his address. He compared them to be members of one SLAVF family, determined to serve the country.
The Deputy Commandant, Inspector of Training, Brigadier Logistics and Brigadier Administration gave away the certificates and gift packs to thirty-one civil staffers during this simple ceremony.
The nominated officers and Other Ranks were also associated with the brief ceremony, organized by the Welfare Branch at the SLAVF.
