New Director HR & HL Begins Office

Brigadier Krishantha Peiris assumed duties as the Director in the Directorate of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law at the Army Headquarters recently, amidst religious blessings.

In the presence of several officers, the new Director of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law placed his signature for an official document and signified the acceptance of the new office.

Several Staff Officers and Other Ranks of the Directorate of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law were present during the simple inaugural occasion.

He was the Centre Commandant, Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment before his present appointment, and he succeeded Brigadier Rasika Kumara who was recently appointed as the Director, Directorate of Overseas Operations.
