Major General Shewanth Kulathunga Felicitated after Promotion

Troops of Puttnani- based 23 Division HQ upon arrival of their newly-promoted General Officer Commanding, Major General Shewanth Kulathunga after receipt of new insignia from the Army Chief at the HQ premises presented honours and greeted him in accordance with military traditions on Friday (26).

Troops of the 6 Gajaba Regiment presented a Guard Turnout salute at the entrance and a Guard of Honour afterwards during formalities.

Major General Shewanth Kulathunga addressed his 23 Division troops later on and joined an all-rank tea to mark the end of the day’s proceedings.

Brigade Commanders of under-command Brigades, Staff Officers of the 23 Division, Commanding Officers, Officers and Other Ranks attended the felicitation ceremony, adhering to health guidelines.
