In order to raise awareness and encourage farming communities to recommence their crop cultivations, the Instructor of Agriculture for Iraneiiluppaikulam area in Mannar, Mr M. Sajid at the invitation of the 562 Brigade of the 56 Division of the Security Force Headquarters Wanni delivered long lectures for farmers residing in Vilathikulam ( MN43) and Parasankulam (MN44) GN Divisions in Mannar on 30 June 2022.
15 (V) Sri Lanka Singhe Regiment organized the programme, in which the importance of farming was highlighted to a gathering of 52 farmers, resident in both areas. During the programme, CDs and leaflets that educate farmers on different varieties of crops were distributed to the farmers in order to encourage them for farming. Refreshments were also provided to attendees by troops during those awareness sessions at both places.
562 Brigade Commander, Commanding Officer of the 15 (V) SLSR troops and farmers participated in the project.
