Brigadier Saliya Amunugama assumed duties as the 12th General Officer Commanding of the 24 Division HQ of the Security Force HQ-East on Thursday (10), amidst ‘Seth Pirith’ blessings of the Maha Sangha at the 24 Division Headquarters.
Subsequently, he planted a sapling in the camp premises to mark the occasion as the new General Officer Commanding of the 24 Division HQ. Afterwards, he addressed the Officers and Other Ranks of the Division and set out his vision before joining for refreshments with all Ranks.
Commanders 241 and 242 Brigades, Divisional Staff and Commanding Officers of under command Battalions of the 24 Division were present in the event adhering to health guidelines.
