3 More COVID-19 Deaths Reported-NOCPCO

As of this morning (2), a total of 211 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. 14 Sri Lankan expatriates and 197 of those positive cases are locally-identified ones, including the majority 70 from Colombo District, 25 from Gampaha District, 23 from Jaffna District and 79 others from different Districts, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (2), a total of 92,916 persons, inclusive of 88,610 of the fish market and Minuwangoda Brandix cluster have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. 89,406 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients have been so far discharged from hospitals and the rest 2,939 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centers.

In the past 24 hours, 156 recovered patients have left hospitals and care centres. 3 more deaths have been reported from Katugastota, Eheliyagoda and Panadura areas in the past 24 hours. Accordingly, the COVID-19 death toll in the country rose to 571 by this morning (2).
