CSO Visits 4 SLSC & 9 SLSC in Wanni

The Chief Signal Officer of Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant, Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SLSC), Major General Ashoka Peiris made his first official visit to the 4 SLSC on Thursday (11) on a familiarization tour.

A Guard Turnout at the entrance greeted him before he was welcomed by the Commanding Officer, 4 SLSC. He was then invited to plant a mango sapling in the camp premises as a symbol of memory.

Subsequently, the Commanding Officer delivered a comprehensive briefing on the role and tasks of the 4 SLSC, prevailing security and other concerns in the Wanni area and other communication requirements.

After the briefing, the visiting Colonel Commandant addressed the troops and stressed the importance of training pertinent to the field of modern Information Communication Technology as well as discipline.

He also took time to visit key places such as communication lab, Other Ranks’ accommodations and kitchen, etc. The day’s simple programme culminated with refreshments at the Warrant Officers’ and Sergeants’ mess.

Finally, he left compliments in the visitors’ book before the departure.

Meanwhile, Major General Ashoka Peiris, Chief Signal Officer of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps paid his first official visit to the 9th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps in Kilinochchi on 11 March 2021.

He was warmly welcomed by Lieutenant Colonel Bimal Jayashantha, Commanding Officer, 9 SLSC after a Guard Turnout salute. Troop address, presentation of memento, all rank refreshments and a separate meeting with Major General Harendra Ranasinghe, Commander Security Forces Kilinochchi brought the visit to end.buy shoes | nike fashion
