Major General Channa Weerasuriya, Commander Security Forces - East on Wednesday (10) visited the Forward Maintenance Area HQ - East in Minneriya on a familiarization visit.
The Commander was honoured in a Guard Turnout at the entrance to the FMA Headquarters and invited to plant a sapling in the camp premises. The Forward Maintenance Area - East, Brigadier Mahesh Abeyrathna afterwards gave a briefing on the role and tasks of logistic battalions, together with respective Battalion Commanders before he undertook a camp visit.
Afterwards, he visited the 3 Engineer Service Regiment and 3 Regiment Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps camps and left memories in the vistors' book after he addressed the troops.
