290 More after Recovery Leave Home-NOCPCO

As of this morning (8), a total of 359 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID -19 in the past 24 hours. 22 Sri Lankan expatriates and 337 of those positive cases are locally-identified ones, including the majority 77 from Gampaha district, 74 from Colombo district, 34 from Galle district and 152 others from different districts, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (8), a total of 85,694 persons, inclusive of 81,935 of the fish market and Minuwangoda Brandix cluster have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. 82,058 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients have been so far discharged from hospitals and the rest 3,134 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centers.

In the past 24 hours, 290 recovered patients have left hospitals and care centres. Five more deaths have been reported from Kananthota, Matara, Pallekele, Nugegoda and Barawardanaoya areas in the past 24 hours. Accordingly, the COVID-19 death toll in the country rose to 502 by this morning (8).

As of this morning (8), 9,899 persons in 100 tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine. Within yesterday (7) 9,575 PCR tests have been conducted. Nike shoes | Nike
